The main objective of this work-package is to develop techniques for the computation of itineraries for visually-impaired individuals while taking into account diverse public transportation options encountered in urban terrains. The goal is to:
· Design algorithms that consider multiple mobility constraints and parameters playing a key role in the motion of impaired pedestrians,
· Develop the appropriate interfaces with relevant municipal databases.
This WP is divided in 2 parts:
WP3.1 Multimodal itinerary computation tool (NKUA/FTS)
Design a multi-modal journey planner dedicated to visually impaired pedestrians travelling in urban environments.
WP3.2 Automatic interfacing with transport, city maps and users databases (VICOMTech)
Employ multi-layer data contents and interface them with the itinerary computation tool.
